Built by a fellow publisher,
for publishers.
WorkingLit is a product of Microcosm Publishing — an independent press founded in 1996. We make the software we wish we'd had.
Book publishing is hard work, full of risks and joys, marrying creativity and business. Publishers deserve quality tools that let us pursue our missions without being ground under the thumbs of billionaires.
WorkingLit is cloud-based enterprise B2B software for managing title data, customers, expenses and royalties. What sets it apart is affordability, accuracy, automation, user agency — and the fact that it is the only software wholly owned by book publishers.
Microcosm built our own software from scratch starting in 2002, and we owe it not only our survival, but becoming the Publishers Weekly fastest-growing publisher while remaining fiscally solvent.
